Effect Of Oxygen Deficiency On Seed Germination
Put dirt in two seperate containers that are about a gallon.
Now put some fast growing seeds on top like a radish or squash seed.
Put a little more soil or dirt on top of the seeds and shake the
containers slightly to level it.
Get a piece of steel wool and unwrap it and wet it. Hang it
inside one of the containers by a piece of string. Put a cap on
this jug.
Put a cork or non permanent top on the 2nd container.
Make sure both containers are in the same conditions with light and
temperature. Now keep a log daily of what happens to each jug.
The steel wool should have taken away any extra oxygen and the other jug
just has what is left in the open container before you put the top on.
Keep notes of any differences that happen when the seeds germinate.
