Your Science Project Research Question

This is what you plan to find from the experiment.  This is a quick and simple sentence that just says what you want to know.  An example:  What happens to seeds that are planted but have no water? 

This also will keep your project simple.  Some of the best science projects are simple and show easily their hypothesis and question.  It will be much easier to write the procedure, gather materials, do the experiment and maintain your log and records if everything is as simple as possible.  Keep everything the same and only change one thing in your experiment.  What could be easier than that.  This is one way to be sure that the thing you have changes is what is causing the reaction to are logging.
